Primul contact cu soiul Shiraz s-a dovedit de bun augur. Deşi este şi primul vin închis cu un screwcap. Hmmm. Vezi aici o discuţie interesantă despre acest tip de dop.Culoare rubiniu închis, aspect aproape negru când este turnat în pahar. Nas fin, extrem de aromat (floral), oarecum greu / dens (body).
Un vin cu gust fructat, cu aromă oarecum florală. Senzaţie intensă de condiment (piper?), însă cu tentă dulceagă, nu agresivă - persistentă ca gust secundar. Catifelat. Gust secundar de prune (poate chiar compot de prune) - foarte persistent.

Walter Clappis has been making wine for 28 years and is considered one of Australia's most outstanding Winemakers, being the only Winemaker to have ever won the Dan Murphy Trophy three times. During the 20 years Walter owned Ingoldby Winery, he amassed a total of 37 trophies and 124 gold medals, including the highly prestigious Bushing King Award for the most outstanding red wine.
